Safe Routes to School (SRTS) is all about creating safe, convenient, and fun opportunities for children to bicycle and walk to and from schools. This is important for the health and safety of our kids and to foster the creation of livable, vibrant communities. SRTS programs increase physical activity and improve unsafe walking and bicycling conditions on routes to and from school and throughout the community.

The Oregon Safe Routes to School Network Leadership Committee is excited to announce the pilot Oregon SRTS Recognition Program. The Program will help us celebrate the great work happening around the state and understand how the Network can help local practitioners reach more students. We also hope it’s a helpful way for schools, districts, and cities to learn more about SRTS activities and resources available throughout the state.

The first step is to complete the nomination form to let us know what your school has been doing, so we can celebrate your great work! Learn more about SRTS in Oregon throughout our website. Click on each badge to left to see the requirements of each level.
