Webinar: Expanding active transportation: Partnership opportunities for CCOs, LPHAs and local transportation.
December 7th, 10:00 – 11:15am
Increasing access to active transportation, or use of walking, biking and public transportation, is an evidence-based intervention for preventing and managing chronic disease. Unfortunately, less than 1 in every 10 people in Oregon regularly use active transportation to get to work. The Oregon Health Authority – Public Health Division and Oregon Department of Transportation invite you to a webinar highlighting three local programs that are increasing biking in their communities. Participants will develop a better understanding of health and transportation linkages, and hear about three local examples from Klamath Falls, Corvallis and Ashland. The webinar will includes time for Q&A with transportation partners.
Intended audience: CCOs, Local and Tribal Public Health Departments, Transportation partners, and other interested persons
