More resources coming to the Pacific Northwest! Thanks to the Safe Routes to School Regional Network Project, there are now increased opportunities for people to walk and bike, which advances healthy transportation options at the metropolitan level in the Pacific Northwest. Across these region, engage partners will become engaged in coalitions to increase support for Safe Routes to School, active transportation and healthy communities. This funding which will advance initiatives and policy nationwide and in Oregon, specifically three metropolitan areas in Oregon (Portland, Salem-Keizer, and Central Lane) plus Southwest Washington; support provided by Kaiser Permanente Northwest.
The National Partnership aims to ignite parents and school staff to take action to start or expand Safe Routes to School programs in their communities and to use new tools and resources to maximize their impact and sustainability.
