In June the Oregon Active Transportation Summit and the OR SRTS Annual Meeting were held in Portland. We were so pleased with the turn out and the opportunity to have time in person with SRTS coordinators from across the state!
We discussed topics like how to get Safe Routes buy-in from school districts, how to better promote walking school buses to increase participation, ideas for high school safe routes to school programming in break out groups. Each regional hub shared exciting developments and updates happening in the region including Beaverton SRTS presentation on Scooter Town and Wasco County presenting on walking school bus growth.
